This 1-day refresher will provide a review of the laws and policies related to emergency vehicle operation, pursuits, and the proper course of action based on related circumstances.

This four-hour seminar will offer participants a fresh approach to reducing 911 calls for service and increasing tenant’s quality of life through tried-and-true best practices and case studies.

The course will start with licensing and a complete overview of the application process. Officers will gain an in-depth knowledge of Michigan liquor laws. The class will continue with a community-based approach to working with licensed establishments to reduce and prevent calls for service.

The purpose of the 16-hour Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) course is to increase officer ability to observe, identify, and articulate the signs of impairment related to drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both. This training also encompasses the 4 hour Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Refresher training.
