DESCRIPTION:A TRAINING FORCE USA SEMINAR \nNationally\, many criminal justice agencies have experienced serious funding reductions while our communities’ expectations for services have increased.  This class is designed to prepare criminal justice professionals to meet current budget requirements and challenges.  The participants will learn how to prepare\, monitor and implement the budget.  This class will examine and discuss data sources that effectively identify costs and reduction adjustments when necessary.  This is an engaging course that includes practical exercises\, visual aids and group discussions throughout the class. \n  \nTraining will cover: \n\nReview; Performance Measurement in the Budget Process\nIdentify statistical and Data Sources\nStructuring the Budget\nHow the Various Budget Systems Work\nUnderstanding Performance Standards and Why they Must Meet our Communities’ Needs\nDeveloping an Efficient Staffing Model\nEffectively Dealing with Current Budget Reductions and Forecasting Future Reductions\nBudget Justification and Presentation\n\nINSTRUCTOR:  Chief Jeff Pearson is employed by the Satellite Beach Police Department. He is responsible for all department operations\, policies and budgeting. He began his career in 1988 working his way through the ranks.
