DESCRIPTION:Dementia Awareness for Law Enforcement\nThis training is registered as\, “Mandated Continuing Professional Education (CPE).” \nThis course educates officers on identifying signs of dementia\, communicating effectively with affected individuals\, reducing use-of-force risks\, and navigating legal and ethical concerns during interactions. Incorrect responses can lead to escalation or litigation. DESCRIPTION:Having a basic understanding of evidence collection is an essential responsibility of all law enforcement personnel.  This course is designed for any law enforcement officer or law enforcement civilian that will investigate crimes as either a first responder\, evidence technician\, or investigator.  This course will consist of lectures\, laboratory demonstrations\, and hands-on collection and processing techniques.
