SUMMARY:Emergency Vehicle Operation
DESCRIPTION:Participants will start the day at Flint Township Police Department and after instruction proceed to Auto City Speedway. \nThis 1-day refresher will provide a review of the laws and policies related to emergency vehicle operation\, pursuits\, and the proper course of action based on related circumstances. This training should be taken by officers that have not had the course within the last three years. As a matter of safety\, and as a condition of participation\, officers will be asked to sign the Course Rules Memorandum. \nIn addition to the regular skills review\, students will participate in a pursuit check ride with an instructor. Students are required to attend all class hours and successfully complete the course to receive a certificate. Equipment Needed: –Department police car in proper operating condition -Uniform of the day (recommended) -Duty belt and body armor (recommended) Loose items must be removed from the trunk and passenger compartments of the vehicles. No more than two officers per vehicle. No shorts\, sandals\, or pocket weapons. \nInstructor:              Brian Schroeder\, Certified EVO Instructor\, along with other LEORTC EVO certified instructors. \nLocation:          Flint Township Police Department\, 5200 Norko Drive\, Flint\, MI 48507/Auto City Speedway\, Clio\, MI \nClass Size:               Limited to 16 \nCost:                        LEORTC Member Licensed Officers – Prepaid Non-Member Agencies – $200.00 p/p \nRegistration:           Spots are limited\, register early. Click HERE to Register \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”
