SUMMARY:Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) - Virtual Training
DESCRIPTION:Participants will be provided instruction on the requirements of the Michigan Freedom of Information Act as they pertain to governmental agencies in general\, with emphasis on the provisions in the Act specifically relevant to law enforcement agencies. \nThe course will review the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). \nVirtual Training via Microsoft TEAMS \nThis training is specific to Law Enforcement FOIA requests and will address video\, text messages\, email\, UD-10 redactions\, and other items unique to law enforcement.  The training is interactive and not pre-recorded. The degree of interaction is dependent on the students. Instructors will encourage students to activate their cameras and participate. A moderator watches the chat feature for those people who prefer to submit written questions.  Participants will be sent a link after they have registered. \nInstructor:  Lori M.
