SUMMARY:Emergency Vehicle Operation - EVO - THIS CLASS IS CANCELED
DESCRIPTION:Participants will start the day at Mott College – Clio and after instruction proceed to Auto City Speedway. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 1-day refresher will provide a review of the laws and policies related to emergency vehicle operation\, pursuits\, and the proper course of action based on related circumstances. \nThis training should be taken by officers that have not had the course within the last three years. \nAs a matter of safety\, and as a condition of participation\, officers will be asked to sign the Course Rules Memorandum. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIn addition to the regular skills review\, students will participate in a pursuit check ride with an instructor. Students are required to attend all class hours and successfully complete the course to receive a certificate. \nEquipment Needed: –Department police car in proper operating condition \n-Uniform of the day (recommended) \n-Duty belt and body armor (recommended) \nLoose items must be removed from the trunk and passenger compartments of the vehicles. \nNo more than two officers per vehicle. \nNo shorts\, sandals\, or pocket weapons. \nInstructor:              LEORTC Member Certified EVO Instructors \nClass Size:               Limited to 16 \nCost:                        LEORTC Member Licensed Officers – Prepaid Non-Member Agencies – $150.00 p/p \nRegistration:           Spots are limited\, register early. \nClick HERE to Register \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”

DESCRIPTION:THIS CLASS IS CANCELED \nICS-300 provides an in-depth focus on the NIMS Incident Command System (ICS) that includes the tools\, practices and procedures that are available in ICS to effectively manage emergency incidents or planned local events at a local Type 3 level. DESCRIPTION:THIS CLASS IS CANCELED \nThe use of surveillance’s can be a much overlooked tool in criminal identification and investigation process. Objectives and types of surveillance’s will be discussed along with the use of appropriate techniques and pitfalls of surveillance’s. \n\nParticipants will develop an understanding of the objectives and types of police surveillance.\nParticipants will learn the four levels of and techniques of moving surveillance.\nParticipants will learn the importance of surveillance notes and what should be on them.\nParticipants will take what was learned in the classroom and utilize this knowledge in practical exercise.\n\n  \nRequired equipment: unmarked police vehicle (2 participants per)\, GPS if available\, binoculars. \nInstructors:  \nLt. Brian Warden is currently with the City of Burton Police Department. He has extensive undercover\, investigative\, and surveillance experience.  He has experience as a field training facilitator and completed previous surveillance training. \nLt. Charles Iddins has been in law enforcement for over 20 years\, currently with the City of Burton Police Department.
