SUMMARY:Report Writing for Corrections
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this course is to provide participants with a practical understanding of the importance of report writing in corrections.  Those attending will gain useful techniques to write complete\, clear\, concise and accurate reports. \n\nDefine what a report is\nUnderstand (3) reasons for a well written report\nIdentify various types of corrections reports\nCorrections officers’ responsibility in writing reports\nImportance of accuracy in report writing\n\n  \nInstructor:  Sgt. Timothy McGuckin is a 13 year veteran with the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office. He has been an instructor with the LEORTC and LERTA academies for over 10 years as well as an adjunct professor for Kirtland Community College.  Sgt. McGuckin is a firearms\, chemical aerosol and master Taser Instructor.  He is a member of the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team as a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator and Sheriff’s office underwater recovery dive team. \nCost:              LEORTC Licensed Members – Prepaid \nLEORTC Non-Licensed Personnel – $35 p/p \nNon-Member Agencies – $60 p/p \nClick HERE to Register \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”
