SUMMARY:Rental Communities Crime Prevention
DESCRIPTION:This course is open to both members of public safety and civilian apartment complex managers and single-family rental unit landlords.   This four hour seminar will offer participants a fresh approach to reducing 911 calls for service and increasing tenant’s quality of life through tried and true best practices and case studies. \nAttendees will learn that there are three important principles to deterring crime and creating rental community efficiency. \nPartnerships- Neither Police Officers\, Rental Community Management\, nor Residents can fight crime and quality of life issues alone.  A reciprocated union is required to fix reoccurring issues and the only way to find success is through a collaborative effort. \nPrevention- The understanding that prevention is always better than having to seek a cure.  This is accomplished through critical risk assessments put into action to achieve a preventative goal. \nParticipation- The realization that crime is a community problem which requires everyone working together to reduce or prevent it.  This is the true essence of the police and citizen partnership and only when put into actual practice can cooperative strategies be implemented to fix reoccurring problems.  Total success and profitability can be realized when all stakeholders become involved. \nInstructor:   Chris Fredenburg of the Saginaw Township Police Department.  He is an Advanced Crime Prevention Specialist and has extensive experience working with rental communities both with large tenant occupancy and small duplex and single-family rental units. \nCost (each class):               LEORTC Member:  Prepaid      Civilian Participants: $35.00 \nNon-Members:  $65.00 \nLocation (all classes):       Grand Blanc Twp. SUMMARY:First Responder Grants
DESCRIPTION:Win Grants for Your Agency \n2 Days of Grant Writing Training for Public Safety Agencies \n$3+ Billion FUNDING TRACK RECORD \nThe Law Enforcement Officers Regional Training Commission will host a 2-day specialized class for all Public Safety / First Responder Agencies on developing\, writing\, and applying for grant programs. The class will be presented by staff from First Responder Grants\, (www.firstrespondergrants.com Participants will learn the skills needed to properly research\, develop and apply to grant funding streams specific to Public Safety\, Emergency Management and Homeland Defense. \nThe training is specifically directed at employees of First Responder and Public Safety Agencies of Police/Fire/EMS and Emergency Management or local government agencies seeking grant funding from Federal/State/Local grant funding sources. \nDoes this sound like your agency? \n\nYour agency lacks funds for vital equipment or training.\nYou applied for grants in the past\, but just can’t seem to get your application into the winner’s circle.\nTimes are tight and your budget is shrinking\, but grants seem so intimidating\, you’ll never figure out how to get that crucial additional funding for your department.\nNeed help finding grants?\n\nYou’re not the only one. Fire Departments\, Law Enforcement Agencies\, and other Emergency Services Agencies nationwide have felt the sting of the budget ax. Competition for grant funding awards is fierce. This training provides a competitive edge! \nDon’t settle for another “Dear John” rejection notice. What did our clients do to avoid those rejection notices? \nThey got First Responder Grants training. \n“We have been awarded $410\,199\, and we have about $4\,000 invested in training and assistance through you. That’s over $100\,000 for every $1\,000 invested. Thank you.” \n— Undersheriff Mickey Gruber\, Brown County Sheriff\, Kansas \nIn this economy\, the competition for grant dollars will be extremely high.  First Responder Grants Training gives you the competitive edge needed to win grants for your agency! \n“Our department is very small and gets very little support from local government. Years ago\, my department sent me to a First Responder Grants seminar in Philadelphia. It was the best money our department has ever spent. I would estimate in the last 3 years we are in the $750\,000-$1\,000\,000-dollar club for grants. I would highly recommend going to this seminar.” \n— Lieutenant Nick Cook\, Bendersville Community Fire Co\, Pennsylvania \nDate and Time:  October 29-30\, 2024\, 8:30am-4:30pm \nClass Location: Mott Community College\, Southern Lakes Branch Center\, 2100 W. Thompson Road\, Room 1206\, Fenton\, MI  48430 \nCost:                    LEORTC licensed members – Pre-paid     For non-licensed members\, the cost is $249 p/p \nAll others:  $499 p/p \nClick HERE to Register \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”
