SUMMARY:Basic FTO Course
DESCRIPTION:BASIC FIELD TRAINING OFFICER COURSE \nHow to become an Effective Field Training Officer \nIn conjunction with Delta College Police Academy \nThis 4-day course is designed to provide knowledge and training to develop Field Training Officers’ skills. Each new FTO will be presented with ideas and techniques to assist them in becoming more professional and confident in the application of their skills.  This course is based on a modified “San Jose” program.  Upon completion the FTO will be able to: \n\nDiscuss the “San Jose” and other program models\nIdentify demands on FTOs as Instructors\nList five of the errors in rating\nUnderstand the basics of Adult Learning Theory\nIdentify liability issues\nUnderstand performance evaluations\nInstruct from Training Briefs\nUnderstand the Rating Scale and Reference Numbers\nComplete the Daily Observation Report\nDevelop a Scenario and additional Training Plans\nUnderstand the purpose of program management and control\n\nInstructor: Steven Kellams of FTO Solutions. DESCRIPTION:This program presents a practical way of surviving an ambush.  The officer will be able to identify the signs of upcoming ambush\, which provides an opportunity to avoid it.  The practical application of concepts of baseline\, above and below baseline will be addressed.  Pre attack indicators will be explained as well as the importance of movement versus static response and the concept of effective communication will also be discussed. \nAbout Shaykhet Training \nShaykhet Training is a provider of specialized methods of self-defense.  The company offers training for the Shaykhet method\, which is practical and easy to master\, for general citizens\, children and law enforcement officials.  The method was created by Lee Shaykhet\, who has experience training the former Soviet Army and has provided instruction for law enforcement and military organizations in Michigan\, Indiana\, Illinois\, Kentucky\, Wisconsin\, Ohio\, Florida and Minnesota\, as well as Canada.  Mr. Shaykhet has also offered training for security and consulting companies and has trained bodyguards for several high-profile events. \nCourse Instructor:  Lee Shaykhet.  Lee has taught self defense classes to police and corrections officers for many years.  There is a principle difference between the traditional approach to self defense\, and the practical side of the matter.  He is a veteran instructor for LEORTC. \nLocation:  Flint Township Police Department\, 5200 Norko Drive\, Flint\, MI 48507 \nClass Size:  Limited to 25 \nCost:                LEORTC Licensed Members – Prepaid           LEORTC Non-Licensed Personnel – $35 p/p         Non-Member Agencies – $50 p/p \nClick HERE to Register \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”  \n

SUMMARY:Speed Measurement Devices

SUMMARY:Adult Sexual Assault Investigations
