SUMMARY:Emergency Vehicle Operation - EVO
DESCRIPTION:Participants will start the day at Flint Township Police Department and after instruction proceed to Auto City Speedway. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 1-day refresher will provide a review of the laws and policies related to emergency vehicle operation\, pursuits\, and the proper course of action based on related circumstances. This training should be taken by officers that have not had the course within the last three years. As a matter of safety\, and as a condition of participation\, officers will be asked to sign the Course Rules Memorandum. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIn addition to the regular skills review\, students will participate in a pursuit check ride with an instructor. Students are required to attend all class hours and successfully complete the course to receive a certificate. Equipment Needed: –Department police car in proper operating condition -Uniform of the day (recommended) -Duty belt and body armor (recommended) Loose items must be removed from the trunk and passenger compartments of the vehicles. No more than two officers per vehicle.
