SUMMARY:Emergency Vehicle Operation

SUMMARY:Tactical Field Operations - Man Tracking
DESCRIPTION:This training program focuses on perimeter containment of Fleeing Subjects while utilizing Man-Tracking skills\, deploying K-9\, utilization of aviation support\, and possibly LPOP’s (Listening Points / Observation Points). These techniques are also utilized for Lost and Missing Persons.\nThis training would be valuable for all officers\, supervisors\, and command staff.\n.\nTraining components of this program include:\n\nThe Psychological Profiles of Fleeing Subjects / Lost & Missing Persons issues are taught to assist in understanding early search variables.\n\nFor Fleeing Subjects\, the Leap Frogging technique is utilized to shorten the time /distance gap.\n\nOther areas to be covered would be utilization of a compass\, GPS\, Downed Officer Reaction/solutions\, and arrest procedure upon contact.\n.\nMost of the two-days of training will be outside in a variety of conditions and areas. His last rank was as the Administrative Captain. SUMMARY:Railroad Investigation & Safety Course
DESCRIPTION:Approximately every three hours a train collision occurs in the United States often requiring assistance of first responders at the scene of an incident.  The collision scene may be complex and consist of a variety of safety concerns for first responders. \nThis Railroad Investigation and Safety Course provides first responders with critical information allowing them to effectively respond to and safely investigate incidents involving the railroad. \nMODULE 1:         Rail Safety Training 101 – Safety issues in the railroad environment.  Signs and signals at a railroad crossing.  Developing advanced preparation information.  Railroad contacts and facilities. \nMODULE 2:         Safety considerations while responding to an incident.  Ensuring on-scene safety.  Identifying your location. Key safety points to live. \nMODULE 3:         Familiarization with rail cars\, locomotives and train documents.  Railroad personnel and rail related equipment.  Common crimes against the railroad.  Rail equipment and evidentiary value.  Available partner resources to aid with scene safety and investigation. \nMODULE 4:         Taking proper steps to ensure the rail scene is clear.  Documentation of rail incidents on state crash reporting forms.  How train incidents may affect the community and support for prosecution. \nAttendees will learn personal safety techniques while they are investigating a grade crossing collision or trespasser incident\, in addition to maintaining on-scene safety unique to the railroad environment. \nInstructors:         David Krish retired from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office in 2014 and has been a Patrol Officer for CN Railroad Police since 2016.  Officer Krish holds a BS from Siena Heights University and has over 32 years of Law Enforcement experience.  David has been an authorized presenter for Operation Lifesaver Railroad Investigation and Safety Course for over 9 years.  David is also an instructor in First Aid / CPR and is a State of Michigan licensed paramedic. \n                              David Salamas\, an officer with the CN Railroad Police since 2006\, is a graduate of Lake Superior State University and holds a BS in Criminal Justice.  Prior to joining the Railroad Police\, he served the City of Romulus as a police officer for 7 years.  Also currently employed with the City of Pleasant Ridge as a P/T Officer.  (Field Training Officer\, Firearms Instructor\, Speed Measurement Instructor\, Operation Lifesaver Presenter) \nDate & Time:     Monday\, November 9th\, 2026\, 8:30am-12:30pm \nLocation:           Flint Township Police Department Training Room\, 5200 Norko Dr.\, Flint\, MI 48507 \nCost:                  Free \nClick to REGISTER below: \nhttps://form.123formbuilder.com/6888767/training-application-form \nThis training is registered as\, “Continuing Professional Education Agency Elected (CPE).” \n“This training has been registered with MCOLES for the use of PA 302 Law Enforcement Distribution funds.”
