Lone Wolf Terrorism

Jeffrey D. Simon is an internationally recognized author, lecturer, and consultant on terrorism and political violence. A former RAND analyst, Dr. Simon has conducted research and analysis on terrorism for more than thirty years. He is the author of two critically acclaimed books on terrorism, The Terrorist Trap: America’s Experience with Terrorism and Lone Wolf Terrorism: Understanding the Growing Threat. His writings on terrorism, political violence, and political risk have appeared in many publications, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Foreign Policy, Jane’s Intelligence Review, and the New York Times.
Dr. Simon’s training session involves four detailed PowerPoint presentations, each approximately one hour in length. They include:
- The historical roots of terrorism.
- The growing threat of Lone Wolf Terrorism.
- An analysis of the psychological dimension of terrorism.
- The threat of bioterrorism and what we should be doing to prepare for this contingency.
